Environmental sustainability is one of the greatest challenges the world is facing. The SustAI centre is a £15M investment into a multidisciplinary and inclusive doctoral training programme aiming to reduce emissions and waste and increase renewable energy production through the use of artificial intelligence.
The SustAI doctoral training centre will provide:
- 70 fully funded 4-year PhD studentships over 5 academic years
- training in the newest AI technical skills and a deep understanding of how these can be applied to address the biggest environmental challenges
- diverse and multi-disciplinary opportunities to develop a range of skills and career pathways
