Description of MS

Description: Falconer Madan and H. E. Craster, A Summary Catalogue of Western Manuscripts in the Bodleian Library at Oxford, vol. 2, Part 1, nos. 1-3490 (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1922), no. 2004, pp. 156-8.

Parchment, page size approx. 175 x 120 mm.. A compilation of 12 different MS sections, written c. 1300 in England, in a variety of small hands, in smaller Gothic book script and cursive script. Mainly in Latin, with some French material; content mainly theological and moral. The appearance of the MS sections is functional rather than decorative; there are some red initials and headings. The English poem, which is in the section fols. 91r-104v, is at the foot of a page, following some medical notes in Latin and French.
