Latest News9th February 2012 - Club Formal Details of this years club formal have been announced by our social secretary. This black tie event will take place in Coco Rio bar and restaurant, Bedford place, Southampton, on the evening of Monday 27th February 2012. Payment of £17.50, as well as menu choices, are required as soon as possible. If you are interested in attending, send an email to walking@soton.ac.uk stating that you would like to come and what your menu choices are. The menu as well as more information on the venue itself can be seen on the Coco Rio website 6th February 2012 - Committee elections It is that time of the year when the new SUHC committee for 2012-13 is to be elected. The committee elections will take place on the 20th February at 7:30pm in Building 6 (Nuffield theatre), Lecture theatre A. Please note only fully paid club members are allowed to vote. All positions are open, so if you are interested in joining committee, or would like more information about any of the available positions, send an email to walking@soton.ac.uk stating position you are interested in. 2nd February 2012 - South Downs Way Challenge Following the success of last years participation, SUHC will once again be taking part in the annual South Downs Way challenge this year. This is an enjoyable walk of either 8.5, 15 or 20 miles through the South Downs national park in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Who are we?SUHC is a club for Southampton Uni students who are interested in walking of various levels of difficulty, from a walk in the New Forest to a scramble across a wind-swept mountain ridge. To avoid any undue confusion, please note that the club has changed names in the past, so any club referred to as the 'Rambling','Walking', 'Hillwalking' or 'Rambling and Hillwalking' Club most probably refers to us!!
