The Southampton University Staff Sailing Club (SUSSC) provides postgraduate students and staff with an informal and fun way to take up leisure sailing in a variety of dinghies and a small yacht.
You do not need to have any previous sailing experience. Competent sailors in the club can take you out until you master the necessary skills. More experienced sailors are also welcome to join the club. If you have the necessary competence you can go sailing whenever the weather and tides permit.
Our regular sailing programme includes Wednesday evening dinghy sails after work, rallies and fun races on Saturdays/Sundays and whole weekend trips in the yacht. In addition, our experienced sailors organise further outings during the week and at the weekends, which everybody is welcome to join.
We are associated members of Southampton Sailing Club in Woolston and keep our boats there.
