Professor Paul White
Professor in Statistical Signal Processing, Signal Processing and Control
Group
Paul White graduated from Portsmouth Polytechnic in 1985 with a degree in
Mathematics and in 1992 obtained his PhD in the ISVR studying the
application of adaptive filters to infrared sensor systems. In 1988 he
became a lecturer in ISVR, the lectureship being sponsored by the then
Admiralty Research Establishment (later to become DSTL Farnborough). He was
promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer in 1998 and became a Professor
in 2004. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Condition
Monitoring and Diagnostic Engineering Management (COMADEM) and serves on the Executive
Team of the Signal Processing PN in the IEE.
