LIVIA D'ARCO
CONTESSA BEVILACQUA (1563/4?-1611)
Daughter of a minor Mantuan nobleman, Livia d'Arco was brought to Ferrara in 1579 as a lady-in-waiting to Duke Alfonso's third wife, Margherita Gonzaga. She joined the concerto somewhat later than Laura Peverara and Anna Guarini; it is assumed that she was still 'in training' until 1583. Livia played the viol.
