Discover: 7-11 Arts Award Pilot Project Exhibition

In September the John Hansard Gallery worked in partnership with Cherbourg Primary School and the University of Southampton, School of Education to pilot the 7-11 Arts Award Discover level for ages 7-9.

As part of the national 7-11 Arts Award pilot scheme, 20 Year 4 pupils participated in a week long programme which enabled them to make connections between the arts and their own lives: to discover the arts. Led by the Gallery’s pilot 7-11 Arts Award Advisor supported by artist-educator Joel Papps, pupils created work inspired by the Manufacture 2 exhibition.

This exhibition showcases the work of participants and accompanying documentation from the pilot project.
