On 7th January 2004 the Board of Trustees and the S&S Committee sent "CONGRATULATIONS" to the Gordon Science Education & Policy Conference
on Visualization in Science & Education (2003) for "a good conference with very diverse topics" and approved the Conference for scheduling in 2005.

In 2005 the Conference will be held in Europe at Queen's College, Oxford, UK (3rd to 8th July).

Co-chairs: Peter Mahaffy (King's University College, Canada) and Bjorn Pedersen (University of Oslo, Norway)
Vice Co-Chairs: Chris Watters (Middlebury College, USA) and Roy Tasker(University of Western Sydney, Australia)

At the Business Meeting on 23rd July the following decisions were made:

- to hold the next " Visualization in Science and Education " Meeting in July/August 2005, preferably in Europe

- to hold the next Conference at a site with excellent IT facilities so as to enable pre-Conference Workshops to be held and to encourage participants to provide IT Posters

- elections to the Co-Chairs and Vice Co-Chairs need to reflect US and Non-US participation for the practical purposes of funding raising

The following were elected:

Co-Chairs Prof G Lisensky (USA) and Prof P Mahaffy (Canada)

Vice Co-Chairs Prof C Watters (USA) and Dr R Tasker (Australia)
(to be Co-Chairs in 2007)

A favourable evaluation report on the Conference at Queen's College, Oxford has been received from the GRC Office.
