Who are we?
As you've probably guessed from the title of the webpage, we're the Southampton University Chess Club,
Where and when do we meet?
We normally meet at 7:30-10:00 pm every Thursday in the SUSU Cafe, before moving onto the Stag's Head afterwards. We also have a thriving social scene, with regular trips to various nightclubs/restaurants, chess tours and days out (Please see the Events page for more information)Who can join?
Pretty much anyone! We're open to players of all abilities, from complete beginners to accomplished players; we have several league teams of in multiple regional divisions, as well as taking part in open tournaments. We've had previous members of the club go on to compete internationally, and we're always more than happy to help our members improve their chess.
