What is SCM?
SCM is an exciting, new Christian group on campus. We are an ecumenical student led group; aiming to bring together students of all backgrounds religious and non religious to explore the Christian faith in an open minded and non judgemental environment.

We aim to be:

• Inclusive: All people are welcome because our diversity is a gift to be celebrated.



• Aware: We recognise the importance of respect for and openness to other faiths.



• Radical: Faith and social justice cannot be separated - Christians must be equipped to engage with contemporary theological, political and social issues.



• Challenging: Thinking through and questioning our faith ensures that it remains alive and dynamic.

So what do you actually do and where do you meet?
We usually meet in the Chaplaincy Centre (Just down the road from the Jubilee Sports Centre) at 7pm on Wednesdays during term time. We start with a meal (vegetarian friendly and costing about a pound) lovingly prepared by some SCM members. The particular event for the evening then starts at around 8pm and is followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and general socialising. You can join in at whatever point in the evening you want and we look forward to welcoming you.
