All undergraduate applications to full-time programmes are made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Applications to part-time programmes are made directly to the university. The Hub Admissions Team provides advice and guidance on all aspects of the UCAS system, and maintains the generic part-time application form on behalf of the university.

Admissions policy is owned by the Recruitment and Admissions Committee, chaired by the Pro Vice Chancellor responsible for recruitment and admissions. Admissions regulations are owned by the Academic Quality and Standards Committee (AQSC) and are reviewed annually in May/June by the Admissions Review Group who report to AQSC.

Tier 4 Visas have a major impact on the admissions stage of the student life cycle. The University issues Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CASs) to Tier 4 international students, as a means of confirming to the UK Border Agency our willingness to act as their educational sponsor.
