All undergraduate applications to full-time programmes are made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Applications to part-time programmes are made directly to the university. The Hub Admissions Team provides advice and guidance on all aspects of the UCAS system, and maintains the generic part-time application form on behalf of the university.

Admissions Policy

Admissions policy is owned by the Recruitment and Admissions Committee, chaired by the Pro Vice Chancellor responsible for recruitment and admissions. Admissions regulations are owned by the Academic Quality and Standards Committee (AQSC) and are reviewed annually in May/June by the Admissions Review Group who report to AQSC.

Tier 4 Visas

Students

Tier 4 Visas have a major impact on the admissions stage of the student life cycle. The University issues Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CASs) to Tier 4 international students, as a means of confirming to the UK Border Agency our willingness to act as their educational sponsor.

Postgraduate applications

Books

Prospective postgraduate students can apply online to study here. Applicants for taught programmes will be able to track the progress through their online account. The Hub Admissions Team is able to provide support and guidance on university processes to both applicants and staff within the university.

Visiting students

Visiting students are asked to apply direct to the university using the Direct Application Form for Part Time Undergraduate Programmes and Visiting Students.

Fees Classification

Students

The Hub Admissions Team is responsible for ensuring that all students are correctly classified as paying either the home or overseas rate of fees in accordance with UK legislation, as well as providing relevant advice and guidance to applicants and students.
