We have nine research groups that cover a broad range of engineering disciplines. Our research community thrives on our interdisciplinary nature sharing expertise, knowledge and facilities across the University. And at the heart of all our programmes is a strong link to industry.
We are funded through research and government research grants as well as investment from our industry partners.
As part of our research strategy we have identified four cross-cutting strategic thrusts for our current focus: bioengineering, energy technology, hydrosciences and tiny technologies. We integrate all our research into education programmes and enterprise activities.
