Our group brings together engineers and computer scientists to discover new approaches to prevent, diagnose and manage health and medical conditions. Our research is end-to-end across digital health from sensors and meditech through to data science, AI and decision systems.

Our interdisciplinary research addresses a wide range of topics from fundamental research through to translational patient-centred research and innovation. Examples include:

sensors and biosensors
control system design and rehabilitation technologies
lab-on-a-chip and microfluidics
biomedical signal processing and machine learning
wearable technology for healthcare
digital behavioural interventions
autonomous disease management
AI and health
data trusts for healthcare
consent and privacy management
