Passwords & network access

There are a number of passwords you may need to access online resources.

Institutional login
Many resources can be accessed with the same username and password you use for email, public workstations, etc.

Used to login to WebCat

Other passwords
Some resources have their own usernames and passwords (accessible on-campus only).

Network access from home
Although many of our resources are restricted to on-campus use, you can access them from home if you connect to the University network using iSolution's VPN (Virtual Private Networking) service. The webpage includes additional advice for Mac Users setting up VPN.

Athens
A system that allowed access to many online resources, now replaced by Institutional login (but still used by the NHS).

E-resources access news
