Accessing digitised e–reserve
Many of the key journal articles and book chapters placed in the Reserve Collections are now available as digitised e-reserve items. These can be easily accessed on campus through WebCat.
How do I access digitised e-reserve articles on WebCat?
You can search for these resources in the regular way using an author/title search to target a specific text. However, if you want to view all items (including digitised articles and extracts) held on reserve for a specific unit / course:
- You must login to WebCat with your User Name & Password or your student/staff number & Library PIN
- Select Reserve Collections
- Enter the course code, e.g. HIST 1080 (space between letters and numbers)
- Select Search Reserve by Course Code
This will produce a list of all the items (books and e-reserve) held on reserve for HIST 1080. E-reserve items will have [electronic resource] after the title. Select the item you wish to access. Click on the text 'online link to document' to view the document in full.
Off campus access
To access this resource off campus you will need to login to the University network through the Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. Alternatively, you can download and save these digitised articles whilst on campus, for access off campus.
