Placed 13th by The Times Good University Guide 2010. With 95% of its research output of 'international quality', according to the recent 2008 RAE, the School is one of the top law schools in the UK.

A 'First Class' legal education is given at the School of Law. 'Top quality teaching', was the verdict from the Government Quality Assurance Exercise conducted in 2003. The QAA described teaching at the School as 'overwhelmingly positive' and gave a rating of 'Absolute Confidence'.
