Funding Opportunities
The LTEF - Learning and Teaching Enhancement Fund
The Learning and Teaching Enhancement Fund is no longer available. Details of any funding initiatives from the University will be made available as soon as they are confirmed. If you have any questions relating to funding for either learning and teaching or technology enhanced learning projects please direct them to Dr Ian Giles (for learning and teaching) or Professor Hugh Davis (for technology enhanced learning).
The Skills Enhancement Fund
The three Faculty Graduate Schools have established a Skills Enhancement Fund (SEF) (from the University's Roberts skills training allocation) to encourage Schools to engage in developing new activities that will enhance the opportunities for skills training or skills development (for pgrs/ecrs) across the University.
Full details are available on the FESM Graduate School website.
External Funding sources
Increasingly external sources of funding, such as those from the HEA and JISC, are becoming available for use by Higher Education establishments to encourage and promote teaching and learning. These sources require bids to be submitted and project teams to develop ideas and workplans to foster collaborative working across our Schools and also with other institutions.

If you are interested in bidding for any of these sources, please let LATEU know and we will do our best to support you in the process. Many people contact LATEU with ideas for the development of education and we are happy to communicate and or collaborate with colleagues. In the first instance, please contact Dr Ian Giles for further information.
