iSolutions Residential Computing Advisers (RCA's)

Halls of Residence Computing Support

Residential computing advisers (RCA's) are available in term-time during (semester 1 only) in some of the halls of residences, to advise on setting up and using students Halls of Residence Network Connections. At each of the locations listed below, and during the times stated below there should be at least one IT literate person (RCA) available to answer questions about your halls network point and to help you connect to it if you are having trouble. Questions about other IT related matters concerning your studies at the University can be asked as well but we must instist that these RCA's are only employed to assist students in setting up their halls network / internet connections, NOT to provide a computer repair service.

If you have a laptop rather than a desktop PC then you can take you laptop along to the RCA desk and show it to them in person. They also have a test network point at the desk for you to test your machine on when the RCA is present. They can pass your questions on to iSolutions ServiceLine if they are not able to help you and you should recieve an email from iSolutions if we can help you any further.
