Knitting Reference Library

All of the material held in the Knitting Reference Library is for reference use only.  Only the books held in the collection are on open access and these can be found in Library 2. The journals, magazines and knitting patterns are located in an on-site store so must be requested through the “collection service”

It is recommended that you make an appointment in advance of your visit although every attempt will made to make material available upon request, circumstances permitting.  Please provide as much information as possible regarding your interests and/or projects prior to your visit.

Please contact us if you would like to visit or would like to know more about the knitting patterns and knitted objects held in the collections.   Details of all of the books and journals that we hold can be found on the Library's online catalogue WebCat.
