Bowes Museum  Website of this museum of fine and decorative arts, based in County Durham, which has an extensive fashion and textile collection and has been host to a number of knitting-related events.
Costume and Textiles Study Centre  Housed by the Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service, this collection holds over 20,000 items all of which are accessible to the public and a selection of which can be viewed online.
Crafts Council  The Crafts Council aims to promote contemporary crafts in Britain, it is an independent organisation which provides services to craftspeople and the public.  It was involved in the formation of Crafts Club, a national campaign that champions craft in schools whose activities include the Knit One Pass It On scheme.  
iKnit  iKnit is a shop, a sanctuary and a place to learn and be inspired, also with a licensed bar!
Knitting & Crochet Guild  The Knitting & Crochet Guild was established in 1978 to preserve and nurture the skills of knitting and crochet. The site contains details of their fantastic collection, study days and expanding education programme.
Knitting History Forum  Website of the Knitting History Society, an organisation engaged in advancing and promoting the history of knitting.
Knitting Together  Website established by the Leicester City Museums Service which celebrates the history of the East Midlands knitting industry.   It includes a digitized collection of a large number of objects and artefacts dating from the late 16th century.
Prick Your Finger  Prick Your Finger is a textile art collective, online yarn shop and resource space/gallery in Bethnal Green.
Shetland Museum & Archives  Reflecting Shetland's strong links to the knitting & textiles industry, its museum holds a large collection of related objects and artefacts.  Information plus some images from the Museum's photographic collection can be found on this website.
UK Hand Knitting Association  Organisation which seeks to raise the profile of hand knitting within the UK.  Their website provides links to related resources, events and information on clubs and courses.
V&A knitting pages  The V&A has created an area on its website for knitting enthusiasts, here you'll find patterns, links, reading lists, interviews and a gallery of knitted items from the museum's collections.
