The visa letter:
Graduands from overseas may apply to the Graduation Team for a letter that they can present to their home authorities with an application for a visa letter, confirming they are a registered student expecting to attend a graduation ceremony in this academic year. The visa letter refers to the graduand only and indicates that if they are awarded, they will be issued automatically with guest spaces for graduation. Other guests may also attend and can watch the ceremony on a live video link from a marquee in the grounds. The visa letter is always written "impersonally" to "whom it may concern". The visa letter refers to the graduand by name, but never to any other person, e.g. named guests.
Please note, you must be eligible to graduate before a visa letter can be issued.
If you are in any doubt please contact your School Office.
Where to collect your visa letter:
Please allow 4-5 working days for your visa letter. Once you have submitted your request we will send you a confirmation email to acknowledge safe receipt. Your request will be processed and you may then choose to have your visa letter posted to your preferred UK address, or you may opt to collect your visa letter from the Student Services Centre on the Highfield Campus:
