Global Cafe
All postgraduate research students are invited to the PGR Globalcafe mornings which are held every Wednesday at 10:30 during term time in the Nuffield Theatre cafe.
This informal, cross-faculty event enables you to meet up with fellow PGR students from across the University, to come and relax over free refreshments, share questions and concerns, learn about other's research, learn about other cultures and make new friends and network within a social setting.
We had a special Christmas Global Cafe buffet lunch on Wednesday 21 December at 13.00. The food was excellent - there was alcoholic and non-alcoholic mulled wine, mince pies, great finger food and huge egg mayo/ chicken and bacon ciabatta! The Nuffield studio was decorated festively and everyone had a good time.
After the lunch, some pgrs went to see the excellent Nuffield Christmas Show, 'The Borrowers' at the specially discounted price of £7 (usually £13.50). We were pleased to see that the pgrs enjoyed the show! We have a few photos of the buffet lunch and will post these up here shortly.
