Insights into the 2021 Output Area Classification Seminar

Abstract:

This talk will provide insights into the 2021 Output Area Classification, which was part funded by ONS and co-supervised by Chris. Chris will also explain the work he leads on at Homes England and opportunities for future collaboration. Chris will also give some perspectives on his career journey since finishing his PhD.

Bio:

Chris is Head of Geospatial at Homes England, an arm’s length body of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Before joining Homes England, Chris worked at the Office for National Statistics where he was Head of Geospatial Analysis. Prior to this Chris created the 2011 Output Area Classification as part of his PhD and subsequently held research positions at UCL and the University of Southampton. Chris is also a Deputy Head of the Government Geography Profession.
