Film at Southampton has been ranked in the top two places in The Guardian University Guide for the past three years.
We scored 98.3 per cent in 2011 for our achievements, which included high-quality teaching, the highest spend per student and the best staff-student ratio in the UK.
Our academics were also rated highly in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. They represent a wide range of research interests and expertise, bringing the latest ideas and debates in film into their teaching and encouraging an interdisciplinary approach through links with other disciplines and organisations.
