- The Reuter Lecture - June 8th 2009
The Reuter Lecture was instituted in 2004 in memory of Timothy Reuter, late Professor of Medieval History at the University of Southampton.
This year's lecture 'Judges and judging: truth and justice in tenth-century
northern Iberia' will be given by Wendy Davies, FBA, Professor Emerita at
University College, London. Professor Davies is renowned for her interdisciplinary work, across the disciplines of Archaeology, Celtic Studies and History, and particularly for her studies of the social and economic structures of pre-industrial rural communities. Her lecture will be preceded by tea from 5pm in the Avenue Campus café and followed by a reception.
