Task 2: Campaign methods
We now look at different methods of political campaigning and activism and raise the controversial issue of what constitute appropriate boundaries to them. In a democracy, there are clear procedures for making collective decisions. So how far can one legitimately go in promoting what one believes in. This task gives you some case studies, and asks for your views on them.
- Q1 For each campaigning technique, what factors are likely to lead to greater degrees of success or failure?
- Q2 What are the appropriate limitations to the above techniques? Under what circumstances might they be unacceptable?
