Residence Fees 2009/2010

Residence Fees for the 2009/2010 academic session are valid from 27th September 2009 to 18th September 2010.

 

Please note the Hall Fees are subject to conditions set out in the University of Southampton Calendar Section IV: 20. Hall Fee Regulations, available at http://www.calendar.soton.ac.uk/sectionIV/part29.html

Price Range

We have many different locations and types of room, and the price will vary depending on these factors.

  • For self catered accommodation in 2009/2010, the prices range from £71.40 per week to £166.95 per week.
  • For catered accommodation in 2009/2010, the prices range from £103.95 per week to £152.95 per week.

When are the Fees due?

The Residence Fees are payable in three of four instalments, depending on the length of your Residence Agreement. The instalments are due as follows:

  • First instalment: Monday 19th October 2009
  • Second instalment: Monday 18th January 2010
  • Third instalment: Wednesday 28th April 2010
  • Fourth instalment (long contracts only): Monday 05th July 2010

What Periods do the Fees cover?

Each instalment of Residence Fees covers residence for on University term. In general this works out as follows:

  • First instalment: 26th September 2009 to 12th December 2009
  • Second instalment: 12th December 2009 to 20th March 2010
  • Third instalment: 20th March 2010 to 01st July 2010
  • Fourth instalment: 01st July 2010 to 18th September 2010

The exact period will vary for 2009/2010 depending on the length of your Residence Agreement - for example, a Short contract excludes the Easter vacation. Please refer to your online Residence Agreement for more details.
